What is Ghostfile?
GhostFile is your digital "after-you're-gone" vault. It stores your files, notes, wishes, instructions, and legacy messages, and only unlocks for your chosen people when you're no longer here.
How does Ghostfile work?
You create a vault, add your important info, pick your trusted contacts, and relax. When you pass away, your contacts can report it. And no worries: If someone reports you early, you get 24 hours to say "Still breathing", before anything opens.
What can I store in my vault?
Pretty much anything digital: files, passwords (if you choose to), personal notes, life lessons, final messages, instructions, or whatever future-you wants people to see.
Just avoid anything illegal or morally questionable; we're not your accomplices.
Who can access my vault?
Only the people you choose (Trust Circle). They will only see your content once your vault officially unlocks. Not before.
Is Ghostfile safe?
Yes. Your content is protected with strong security protocols, encrypted in storage, and never shared unless your vault unlocks. Think "private legacy vault," not a Google Drive folder your cousin can "accidentally" open.
Can I change my Trust Circle contacts later?
Absolutely. Add, remove, or replace people anytime. Life changes, your vault can change with you.
What happens if someone reports me by mistake?
You'll get a heads-up and 24 hours to confirm you're alive. One tap and the vault stays locked.
What is 'Before You Ghost'?
It's your personal milestone tracker. Use it for your bucket list, goals, resolutions, achievements, and the little wins worth celebrating before you actually ghost for real.
Is Ghostfile only for when I die?
Nope. Many people use it to store memories, accomplishments, and messages they want to look back on. Ghostfile wants to be the celebration of every little win in your life, not just the end of it.
Can I use Ghostfile without an iPhone?
We offer a web version, but it's limited. For the full experience, features, and security, the iOS app is the way to go.
Can my trusted members edit or change my vault?
No. They can't touch anything until the vault unlocks, and even then, they can only view and download, not edit your original content.
What if I just want one vault?
You can! All users get one vault free forever. Premium subscribers get additional vaults and extra features.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
All your vault content is permanently deleted. No spooky leftovers.
When should I start using Ghostfile?
If you have assets, memories, or instructions you'd want your loved ones to have someday, now is a great time.
